Men actor has been in jail ever since a Smith and Wesson MP Shield 9 mm was found in his Jeep during a traffic stop on June 26; his lawyers hold that Glover denies any knowledge of the gun in question and contend the police should not have targeted him in the first place.
Men Glover, star of '12 Years a Slave' and 'The Wire,' was arrested in Washington on June 26 for unlawful possession of a firearm. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Glover has been in jail a week now after police searched his car during a traffic stop and alleged they found an unregistered handgun.
The firearm, a loaded Smith and Wesson MP Shield 9 mm, was found hidden between Glover's Jeep's roll bar and roof cover, police say. They conducted the stop after being notified to keep a lookout for a white Jeep, whose driver allegedly pointed a gun out the vehicle's window. The actor was then arrested and booked for unlawful possession of a firearm - a misdemeanor.
According to TMZ's report, his lawyers filed a motion to have him released on bail immediately, so that he can continue supporting his family. They hold that Glover denies any knowledge of the gun in question and contend the police should not have targeted him in the first place.
